Developed with the needs of sophomores in mind as they enter a year of transition, self-discovery and decision making, the course will function as both an engagement activity and a skills building program. The pre-trip assignments coupled with a visit abroad will provide the student the opportunity to hone skills which are integral at this stage in one’s academic career; namely, plan development, accountability, global contextualization and self-reliance. The student will also build upon skills learned in their General Education courses and develop study habits crucial to a successful academic career.
